Godfather Prequel in the Works

Grand Central Publishing, part of Hachette Book Group, will be publishing a new book next year that should draw plenty of fans: a prequel to Mario Puzo's classic The Godfather. The prequel, currently titled The Family Corleone, is said to be set in Depression-era New York City and will show readers how Vito Corleone became the Don. The Family Corleone, written by Ed Falco, draws on an unproduced play written by the late Puzo and is due out June 2012.
